Priscilla checks into the garage

Priscilla Queen of the Desert will take a two week break after its final Sunday matinee performance on the 5 September 2010.

The Break

The entire company will be given a holiday whilst the show’s elaborate set, including life sized bus Priscilla, gets some maintenance work done. The Palace Theatre will be in the dark from the 6 – 19 September 2010. The break is one of the first known in the West End, with the majority of shows normally giving cast members staggered holidays with understudies stepping into the breach.

Ben Richards

Ex-Bill and Footballers Wives star Ben Richards recently took over the role of Tick/Mitzi from Jason Donovan, giving a heartfelt and stronger performance. He is joined by Don Gallagher who plays Bernadette and original cast member Oliver Thornton.

The show is based on the Oscar winning film of the same name telling the heart-warming and uplifting story of Mitzi, Bernadette and Felicia, a glamorous Sydney based performing trio who agree to take their show to the middle of the Australian outback. The three friends set off in a battered old bus, Priscilla, in search of love and adventure, but end up finding more than they could ever have dreamed. Featuring more glitter than the West End has ever seen and 25 dance floor classics that will have you dancing in the aisles.
