RSC Coming to the Noel Coward Theatre
![]() |
The RSC will bring two productions to the Noel Coward Theatre next summer as part of the World Shakespeare Festival (the event which is running between April and November 2012 as part the Cultural Olympiad). Gregory Doran’s Julius Caesar and Iqbal Khan’s Much Ado About Nothing will play back-to-back runs at the West End venue from August to October after premiering in Stratford-upon-Avon earlier in the year. The latter production includes Meera Syal as the witty and spirited ‘Beatrice’ in an India-set version of Shakespeare’s comedy about love and deceit. |
But Catch Hay Fever First in February! The jukebox musical Million Dollar Quartet is currently playing at the Noel Coward Theatre. The show ends its successful London run on Saturday 14th January 2012. It will be followed by Noel Coward’s Hay Fever, starring Lindsay Duncan (That Face and Private Lives) and Kevin McNally (Boeing Boeing, and Dead Funny). Set at the country home of the bohemian Bliss family, Hay Fever tells the story of the chaotic weekend that occurs when a former stage star and her clan invite some guests to stay, only to bemuse them with their eccentric behaviour and amorous advances. Hay Fever opens on 23rd February 2012 (previews from 10th February) and is booking until Saturday 2nd June 2012. |
