Sanjeev Bhaskar is new King Arthur

Posted by on Tuesday 15th July 2008 at 12:30PM

On June 23, Sanjeev Bhaskar will take on the role of King Arthur in Monty Python’s Spamalot at the Palace. The writer and star of Goodness Gracious Me and The Kumars at No. 42 will be taking over from Alan Dale of Ugly Betty and The O.C. (and of course, we all remember him as Jim Robinson in Neighbours). Sanjeev joins a list of star names who have taken on the role in London that has also included Tim Curry, Simon Russell Beale and Peter Davison.

Monty Python’s Spamalot has announced its closing date as 9 January 2009, and the show will embark on a UK tour in April.
