UKTickets Show of the Month, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, has been nominated for eight awards in the BroadwayWorld.com poll of UK theatregoers. The popular musical, which opened at the Palace Theatre in 2009, has already scooped four Whatsonstage awards this year (the biggest haul at the time) including Best New Musical and Best Supporting Actor for Oliver Thornton. |

Oliver Thornton Nominated Again!Oliver Thornton, who plays the flamboyant ‘Felicia’, is nominated again for Best Featured Actor and currently enjoys a narrow lead over Love Never Dies star Joseph Millson in the voting. Elsewhere, Ross Coleman is nominated under Best Choreography (currently lying second to Legally Blonde’s Jerry Mitchell), whilst Tim Chappel & Lizzy Gardiner lead the way for the musical (over Love Never Dies) in Costume Design! The remaining five nominations include Best Direction of a Musical (by Simon Phillips), Best Lighting Design, Best Orchestrations, Best Scenic Design and Best Sound Design. |
