Showstopper! Returning to Ambassadors Theatre

Posted by Hannah on Monday 1st August 2011 at 2:51PM

Showstopper! The Improvised Musical Showstopper! The Improvised Musical will return to the West End’s Ambassadors Theatre for a second time this year following a fourth successive season at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The show originally played at the Ambassadors in February, running alongside the dance extravaganza Stomp for several weeks. It will be back at the Covent Garden venue on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (nights when Stomp is off sale) from Tuesday 20th September to Wednesday 12th October 2011. Showstopper! tickets will be available soon.

Amazing Improvisation in the West End

Taking suggestions from the audience, the Showstopper! team create a fully realised musical production with coordinated lighting, sound, dance routines and songs. Utterly unpredictable, often side-splittingly funny; this is off-the-cuff theatre to rival even the most illustrious West End show. The Showstopper! cast is led by improvisation veterans Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery whose previous London collaborations have included 'Shall We Shog' for Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and 'Decor Without Production' at the Royal Court.

Dance Spectacular Celebrates 20 Years

Stomp will celebrate its 20th birthday this autumn with a special gala show at the Ambassadors Theatre on Monday 14th November 2011. Co-creator Luke Cresswell will be joined by several high profile friends from the world of comedy who will take part in a specially choreographed routine to celebrate the landmark anniversary.

Pounding, Pulsating and Utterly Irresistable!

Stomp has become a global phenomenon since its premiere at the Edinburgh Festival in 1991. The universal language of music and dance has been enjoyed by more than 15 million people in 48 countries across five continents. From boots to bins, Zippo lighters to kitchen plungers, everyday objects become transformed as 12 incredible performers run through a startling array of percussive set pieces.
