Has Sierra Boggess found a new love? The American star, who plays 'Christine Daaé' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies at the Adelphi Theatre, is rumoured to have been in discussion about starring in a new production of the musical She Loves Me at the Chichester Festival Theatre when she leaves the Phantom of the Opera sequel - according to reports on BroadwayWorld.com from the Daily Mail,

Ms Boggess has also been in talks about starring in Rebecca, for which she once took part in a London workshop, but the show has been unable to secure a place at the Shaftesbury Theatre with Me and My Girl expected to transfer to the venue instead.

Denver-born Sierra made her West End debut in Love Never Dies after previously playing the role of 'Christine Daaé' in 'Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular' at the Venetian Hotel. She made her Broadway debut in 2007 playing the title role in Disney's The Little Mermaid, for which she received the BroadwayWorld.com Audience Award for Favourite Breakthrough Performance.

She Loves Me is a musical adaptation of Parfumerie by the Hungarian playwright Miklos Laszlo. Perfume shop employees Georg and Amalia are constantly at odds with each other at work, unaware that each is the other's secret pen pal met through lonely-hearts ads. The musical, which features music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and a book by Joe Masteroff, served as the inspiration for the romantic films The Shop Around the Corner and You’ve Got Mail.

A Sparkling Musical at the Adelphi Theatre

With an Australian version of the Love Never Dies set to open in 2011, some recent changes have been made to the London production to improve the story and pace of the show. November 2010 saw a four day break in performances whilst the alterations were made, notably to the prologue and ending, which seem to have been well received by fans and critics alike.

Ten years after his escape from the Paris mobs, the Phantom has amassed a glittering new empire, one built by the loyalty of Madame Giry and Meg. Hidden amongst the bright Coney Island sideshows, he yearns for the day when his true love, the beautiful musical protégée Christine Daaé, will return.
