Three Days in May at Trafalgar Studios

Dalziel and Pascoe star Warren Clarke will lead an all-star cast as ‘Winston Churchill’ in the West End transfer of Ben Brown’s wartime thriller Three Days in May. The play has been winning rave reviews on a national tour and will open at the Trafalgar Studios at the beginning of November (previews from Monday 31st October 2011). Caryl Churchill’s thought-provoking ‘Top Girls’ is currently playing at the venue until Saturday 29th of October, starring Suranne Jones. |
The Man Who Would Never SurrenderSet in May 1940, Three Days in May goes behind the doors of Number Ten Downing Street during a dark time for the future of Britain. The German blitzkrieg across Western Europe has been halted only by the narrow waters of the English Channel. The Country’s new Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, is faced with a pivotal decision - to negotiate terms with the seemingly unstoppable Nazis or see Britain carry the fight against fascism alone. An Extraordinary Moment in HistoryWarren Clarke returns to the stage for the first time in over a decade in Three Days in May. He is best known for his many film and television credits, including A Clockwork Orange, Firefox, Blackadder, The House of Windsor, The Locksmith, Bleak House and 12 series of the detective drama Dalziel and Pascoe. The Three Days in May cast also includes Jeremy Clyde (Ashes to Ashes) as ‘Lord Halifax’ and Robert Demeger (The Hour) as ‘Neville Chamberlain’.
