Thriller Live! Holds Open Auditions

Thriller Live! is holding open call auditions in New York this weekend as the production seeks replacements for both the West End cast and the World Tour. Auditions are held approximately every 12 months to find a young male performer to depict Michael in the Jackson 5 and also for older male and female singers for the principle roles. The first UK tour pre-dated the West End, playing dates between May and June in 2007. It featured Shaheen Jafargholi as the young Michael, whilst the adult singers included Pop Idol star Zoe Birkett and Australian vocalist Mig Ayesa. |
Celebrating the King of PopThriller Live! opened at the Lyric Theatre in January 2009, initially for a limited four month run, but has been extended several times following fantastic audience feedback and consistently high demand for tickets. The production took on extra significance following Michael’s death in June 2009 when interest in his music reached even greater heights and attracted new fans both young and old.
