Top Hat Musical to Make West End Transfer

Top Hat, the musical based on the hit Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movie of the same title, will move to the Aldwych Theatre in April, starring Summer Strallen (Love Never Dies) and Tom Chambers (The winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2008). The production is currently finishing a 17 week national tour that began in August. According to reports in the Daily Mail, it will undergo a workshop in March to cut some songs and sharpen the script. However, the tour reviews have been positive and the show shouldn’t need too much of a polish to shine in the West End. |

Holby City HeartthrobTom Chambers is perhaps best known for playing the surgeon ‘Sam Strachan’ in BBC hospital drama Holby City. He won Strictly Come Dancing in 2008 with his professional partner Camilla Dallerup. On stage, he recently appeared in Irving Berlin's White Christmas at The Sunderland Empire. |

Top Hat is due to begin performances at the Aldwych Theatre on the 19th April 2012.
