Top Musicals Announce Cast Changes

Sensational ABBA-inspired musical Mamma Mia! and children’s favourite Disney’s the Lion King have both announced several cast changes for the summer. The great news for Mamma Mia! fans is that a number of former cast members will return to the show - including Sally Ann Triplett, Kim Ismay and Joanna Monro - as booking for the long-running hit continues into the spring of 2012 at the Prince of Wales Theatre. |

Sally Ann Triplett (pictured left) first took over the role of “Donna Sheridan” in June 2009. Her many stage credits include Cats, Chicago, Guys & Dolls, Take Flight, Oliver!, Grease, Chess, Follies, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Joanna Monro will reprise the role of “Rosie”. Her stage credits include Blood Brothers, Prisoner Cell Block H, All’s Well That Ends Well and Dreams of San Francisco. Kim Ismay (pictured left) will reprise the role of “Tanya”. Her stage credits include Grease, Sunset Boulevard, Acorn Antiques and The Rocky Horror Show. |

Over at the Lyceum Theatre, Liverpudlian actress Ava Brennan makes her West End debut as “Nala”, a role she recently played in the Lion King Hamburg production. Reflecting the musical’s international appeal, several members of the hugely successful Las Vegas production will also join the London show, including Damian Baldet as “Timon” and Jacquelyn Hodges as “Shenzi”. |
