War Horse to Perform at Olympia
| War Horse star ‘Joey’ and his fellow cast members will make a special appearance at the London International Horse Show at Olympia this December, performing a scene from the award-winning play (which continues to attract acclaim at the New London Theatre) in Olympia's famous Christmas Finale, which takes place at the end of every performance. |

Joey Meets the Household CavalryTo mark the announcement, Joey and his rider Captain Nicholls (played by the actor Perri Snowden) met some real life war horses from the Blues and Royals regiment in Hyde Park, including the Household Cavalry’s retiring drum horse, Spartacus. The Household Cavalry have built up a close relationship with the show over the years, acting as consultants when the fantastic life-size puppets were being designed. A spokesman for Olympia organisers HPower said: "It's notoriously difficult introducing Joey to 'real' horses as they are quite spooked out about how lifelike he is! However Elizabeth, who is the mount of Musical Ride Officer Captain Ed Howland-Jackson, seemed to take to him right away." |
