Viva Forever – The Spice Girls Musical
![]() | It’s been 14 years since the Spice Girls dominated the world with Girl Power. After a successful reunion world tour in 2008, the spices are not content to let that be it. The girls have approached Mamma Mia! Creator Judy Craymer to write the musical, with the working title of Viva Forever. The new story would incorporate all the Spice Girls hits, including, Viva Forever, Who Do You Think You Are, 2 Become 1, Spice Up Your Life, Stop and Holler. |
We Will Rock You 2
It is only a mild whisper, but We Will Rock You might be going down the Phantom route by creating a Sequel. Whatever they decide, whether it is the same songs with a new story line or the use of other Queen songs not used in the first, UKTickets will be the first to find out. | |
Bee Gees/Bridget Jones
![]() | Queen, Abba and Billy Joel have all had their biggest hits transformed into successful musicals around the world and now the Bee Gees are rumoured to be jumping on the band wagon with their back catalogue of songs. 2011 it is said could bring Bridget Jones to the West End in musical format. It has already been a successful book and film, whispers are that author Helen Fielding has penned a stage adaptation already and is keen to getting the show up and running. |
Flashdance at the Shaftesbury Theatre?
More rumours have been flying around the West End surrounding which show will enter the Shaftesbury Theatre once Hairspray leaves. Fuelled by Arlene Phillips hints last August, Flashdance could be coming to the West End; more sources have reported that shows producers have been checking out the 1,400 seat Shaftesbury Theatre. |
Shrek to replace Sister Act?
| Rumours have recently surfaced that Shrek the Musical is set to replace Sister Act at the London Palladium in October. Sister Act which opened in May 2009, boasting an impressive cast with Shelia Hancock taking a lead role and Ian Lavender (Pike from Dad’s Army), received enthusiastic reviews from The Times, Telegraph, Evening Standard and many more.
