Wicked Confirms Cast for 2011

Wicked, the long-running hit musical at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre, has released confirmation of its new company which will begin performances on Monday 7 February 2011.

Mark Evans will join the cast, replacing Lee Mead as 'Fiyero'. In other changes  Zoë Rainey (‘Amber Von Tussle’ in Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre) will take the role of 'Nessarose' and Ben Stott (‘Jack’ in Sondheim’s Into The Woods at the Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park) will play 'Boq'.

Mark Evans' West End Theatre credits include: Troy Bolton in High School Musical - Live On Stage (Hammersmith Apollo), Understudy Fiyero and Ensemble in Wicked (Apollo Victoria Theatre), Monty Python's SPAMalot (Palace Theatre), West End Laine (Aldwych Theatre), 50 Years Of Stage And Screen (Palace Theatre).

Wicked - The Untold Story of Oz

Based on the acclaimed novel by Gregory Maguire that re-imagined the stories and characters created by L. Frank Baum in ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’, Wicked tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two girls who first meet as sorcery students. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfill their destinies as 'Glinda the Good' and the 'Wicked Witch of the West'.
