Wicked Stars Extend Their Stays

Rachel Tucker and Julie Legrand have extended their contracts with the smash-hit musical Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Former 'I’d Do Anything' finalist Tucker, who plays green-skinned witch 'Elphaba', and Legrand, who plays stern headmistress 'Madame Morrible', will now stay with the show into 2012. Other current cast members: Louise Dearman (Glinda), Mark Evans (Fiyero), Clive Carter (The Wizard), Julian Forsyth (Dr Dillamond), Zoe Rainey (Nessarose) and Ben Stott (Boq) will leave the production after Saturday 10th December 2011. Rachel Tucker rose to fame after appearing as a finalist in ‘I’d Do Anything’, the BBC talent search led by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber to find a Nancy for Oliver! She quickly went on to star as ‘Meat’ in We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre before joining the cast of Wicked in March 2010, replacing Alexia Khadime in the role of ‘Elphaba’. |

Julie Legrand also joined the cast of Wicked in March 2010, replacing Harriet Thorpe as ‘Madame Morrible’. Her other West End credits include: Fiddler on the Roof (Savoy Theatre); See How They Run (Duchess Theatre); Arcadia (Haymarket Theatre) and House of Bernarda Alba (Gielgud Theatre). She is perhaps best-known for her TV roles as ‘Paula Burrows' in Holby City and 'Jeanette Dunkley' in Footballers Wives. |
