Will Denise Van Outen go Blonde?
| Rumours are flying about the forthcoming Legally Blonde cast change, with Sheridan Smith and Jill Halfpenny both leaving the production in October. The latest gossip has Denise Van Outen lined up to take the role of Elle’s wacky friend, the denim-clad hairdresser, Paulette. If true, the role would see Van Outen (below left) returning to the stage for the first time since the birth of her first child, a daughter, with Wicked star Lee Mead. |

Jennifer Ellison in the Pink?Rumours that Laura Bell Bundy (who played Elle on Broadway) is to take over from Sheridan Smith have cooled, with whatsonstage suggesting that the US star has landed a recurring role in American sitcom How I Met Your Mother. If true, this may open the door for Jennifer Ellison (above right) to show us her bend and snap. The Liverpool-born actress has West End pedigree, with two runs in the musical Chicago as Roxie Hart - a role also played by Denise Van Outen! |
