Will Lee Mead Be A Jersey Boy?
| Will Wicked star Lee Mead be joining the cast of Jersey Boys in 2011? According to rumours from whatsonstage.com and the Daily Mail the hugely successful jukebox musical will undergo a cast change early in the new year (with the exception of Ryan Molloy who plays Frankie Valli) and a number of famous West End faces are being considered for the show. |

Talented Star Still on the RiseLee Mead shot to fame after winning the lead role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the TV talent search 'Any Dream Will Do'. Since May 2010, he has appeared in the role of Prince Fiyero in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre - the same month his wife, Denise Van Outen, gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Betsy. Other possible Jersey Boys could include Jonathan Ansell, the tenor opera singer, and Ray Quinn, of X Factor, Grease and Dirty Dancing fame. |

A Special Charity PerformanceJersey Boys recently announced that a special gala performance of the show will help to raise money for BBC Children in Need. Teaming up with BBC London 94.9FM, the award-winning production at the Prince Edward Theatre will be supporting the charity on Wednesday 17 November 2010, with money from ticket sales being donated towards helping the UK's disadvantaged children and young people. |
