Comprising the grounds of the 18th century Heaton Hall, Heaton Park is Europe's largest municipal park. The park has long been popular with locals and tourists, with its play areas, walking areas, bowling green, boating lake and golf course. the park has become a successful events venue recent years, having previously hosted Proms in the Park and BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.
