About the London Pavilion
The historic London Pavilion, known more commonly today as the Trocadero, is a beautiful and imposing building overlooking Piccadilly Circus. The Pavilion has had a colourful past, first opening as an enormous restaurant for the very wealthy in 1896.
In the early twentieth century, the building housed the infamous Argyll rooms, where London’s most famous and wealthiest men would take prostitutes and rent boys. Since the 1960’s, the London Pavilion has enjoyed periods as a cinema complex and indoor theme park. After extensive renovation, it is now a haven of shopping and entertainment, containing a casino, a nightclub, restaurants, a cinema, excellent shops and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, all in the middle if the buzzing West End.
